What We Believe

We believe in eternal life for those that follow the example set by Jesus Christ.

God

We believe in the God of the Bible as the creator of the Earth and humanity. We believe He - through His grace - has offered humanity the opportunity to join Him in heaven and experience eternal life.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus is the only begotten son of God, and that he lived a perfect life as a man. We believe he was crucified on a cross and rose from the dead after three days.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God, and that it depicts true events.

Sin and Salvation

We believe that sin is a separation from God, and that the wages of sin is death. We believe that God can freely forgive all sins, and that humans should not be sinning. We believe it is possible for humans to not sin.

We believe that salvation is a gift from God offered to all of humanity that requires us to live as Christ did.

Statements of Faith

We believe that most of theology is a distraction from the very simple commands of Christ.

We do not believe that salvation is based on correctly answering a multiple choice test on obscure and sometimes incomprehensible statements. We have no required statement of faith for our members.

FAQs

But how can humans stop sinning?

It depends on the sin, but God has not given any temptation to man that we cannot bare. Our church community is focused on addressing each member as an individual and helping them resist their temptations.

But isn’t living a sin-free life impossible?

That sounds like a rationalization to keep living in your sin. Prayer and community can help you if you make the choice to repent and follow Christ.

Is Christ immeasurable? What about the Trinity? The Filioque? Transubstantiation? Atonement?

These questions are a distraction from the very simple commands Christ has revealed: love God, and love your neighbor.

The wages of sin are death. Churches that prioritize anything other than eliminating sin from your life are doing the devil’s work.

So is your church a free-for-all?

No. We believe in enforcing the behavioral standards practiced by the early church.
